Airbrush Tricks

Last fall, I broke out the airbrush to finish the Imperial Guard Armored Company.

This fall, I'm doing the same with the IG Cadians to go with the armored company.

Yay my consistency! I will post here to let you know how it goes.

Menoth Bases

Since the Protectorate and Skorne forces have a non-aggression treaty, I was thinking of a way of perhaps tying the two armies together. And an easy way to do that would be to have them on similar bases.

But honestly, I started playing around with the puttying on a Crusaders base and decided to try and go for the stone tile look that I've seen on some other models. Maybe I'll toss some sand or ruins like on them.. not really sure yet.

The reason I tossed in the skorne is that if it comes out to look more like cracked earth then tile, then I can use that method on the skorne bases. Pictures after I do some painting on them since really.. all you see is white right now.

I wish I had some, but I have crap for a photo set up. Something I plan to change but haven't really had the desire to mess with it right now. On my list of things to do.

Spent some time over the last two weeks playing with the Flames of War bases and Spackle. It is going pretty well but even though I press some rocks into the Spackle, I still have to glue them in once it dries. I was hoping they would just stick.. guess not.

I have used it to build up a nice dirt mound around my first HMG and it looks pretty good. I will need to get the right tools to make the process easier, right now I'm using the broken end of a paint brush.

Otherwise, I spent some time trying to get all the loose metal I have around my place organized and glued together my menoth jacks.
